"Playboy 40th Anniversary Stratocaster"  Marilyn Monroe Centerfold.

This "Playboy 40th Anniversary Stratocaster" is one of just 175 examples built by the Fender Custom Shop staff and hand-painted by the celebrated guitar artist Pamelina H. in 1993 to mark Playboy's fortieth year of publication. The image of Marilyn Monroe is taken from Tom Kelly's iconic 1949 calendar nude shot  which Playboy used as its first centerfold in 1953. With slight variations in Pamelina's interpretation, each of the 175 guitars is unique. Features a solid alder body finished in black, weight 8.40 lbs., nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches, a medium-to-thick neck profile, and a scale length of 25 1/2 inches. A one-piece 'birds-eye' maple neck with with twenty-one thin frets, inlaid black pearl "bunny head" position markers and black side dot markers highlight the guitar, with headstock decaled "Fender" in red with black trim, LeRoy Neiman's 'Femlin' character in black, and Playboy "40"  bunny head logo in red and black. Complete with the original red leather gig-bag, all of the case candy and the original flight case. A 'brand new' sixteen year old example… most probably the finest in existence.
