A Mint 2000 'American Designer Edition' Stratocaster with a Superb Book-Matched Flamed Maple Top

2000 Fender Stratocaster American Designer Edition Deluxe

This 'American Designer Edition' Stratocaster weighs 9.20 lbs. and has a three-tone sunburst, one-piece solid alder body, contoured on back and lower bass bout - with a wonderful 'book-matched' flamed maple top. One-piece maple neck with a 'slab' rosewood fretboard with 22 original medium jumbo (0.009 inch) frets and abalone dot position markers. Small headstock with Fender "Spaghetti" logo & "Stratocaster" in gold 'Appliqué'. Single string tree. Individual Fender/Schaller Deluxe locking tuners. Serial number "DZ0072218", "Made in USA", and "Fender Design Edition" logos on back of headstock. Three Fender 'Vintage Noiseless' single-coil pickups with staggered pole-pieces and outputs of 9.75k, 9.81k, and 9.55k, respectively. Three-layer white over black plastic pickguard with eleven screws. Three controls (one volume, two tone) plus five-way selector switch, all on pickguard. White plastic knobs with gold lettering. Jack socket in body face. Fender 'two-point' synchronized tremolo bridge system with six polished steel block saddles and pop-in tremolo arm. This very beautiful, twenty-two year old,one-owner guitar is in absolutely mint (9.50) condition with virtually no playing wear to the frets or fretboard. Housed in the original Fender (G & G) three-latch, rectangular 'tweed' case with red plush lining and tan 'faux' leather ends.
We have never seen one of these with a 'flamed' maple-top before.
