1996 was the year Taylor first unveiled their Brazilian Presentation series and this is indeed one of the first built. According to Taylor, they made only 4 of these that year; needless to say this is quite a rare, and a historically significant piece.

The regular PS-10ce currently lists at $7,328 - this of course is not Brazilian rosewood, which was discontinued in 1999.

Founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, Taylor Guitars, from its humble, naive beginnings as a repair shop, has evolved into  one of the world's most successful and highly regarded acoustic guitar manufacturers in the world, making musical-instrument history by becoming the first American luthiers in the 20th century century to take an acoustic guitar company from one-off shop to production-level manufacturer without relinquishing ownership or creative control.  "In 1976, Taylors provided an affordable and viable alternative to Martins, which were the standard," John Zehnder of McCabe's Guitar Shop recalled. "The Taylors' low-profile necks, and the fact that they offered several choices as to neck widths, were a real advantage. Plus, they sounded good, and, because of the way they were made [with bolt-on necks], we were able to make repairs instantly, which was greatly appreciated by our customers. In many ways, Taylor guitars were a real breath of fresh air." That fresh air continues to gust from the factory, with guitars that have won international acclaim and many awards, the most important being the rabid loyalty of Taylor Guitar players.
