Epiphone's Version of the Gibson ES-125

An unbelievably light (5.30 lbs.) guitar with a nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches and a scale length of 25 1/2 inches. Single-bound laminated maple top, back, and sides, one-piece mahogany neck, and Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 20 jumbo frets and inlaid pearl dot position markers. Headstock with gold silk-screened "Epiphone" logo. Closed-back Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with white plastic oval buttons. One hot black P-90 pickup with an output of 8.34k. The pickguard has been removed. Two controls (one volume, one tone) on lower treble bout. Black plastic bell-shaped knobs with metal tops. Rosewood bridge with pre-set compensating saddle and Epiphone Frequensator tailpiece. The serial number ("355606") is stamped on the back of the headstock and on a rectangular blue label inside the bass f-hole. This guitar is in exceptionally fine (9.00) condition, with the absolute minimum of belt buckle wear on back and a little bit of finish checking. Housed in a later tweed-style hardshell case with brown plush lining (9.00).

Epiphones from this era are highly sought after because they were made by Gibson. The only notable differences between the Epiphone Century and the Gibson ES-125 are the headstock shape (the Epiphone headstock is taller), the Epiphone logo, and the pickguard being white with the Epiphone stylized "E" logo on it (pickguards on Gibsons of this era were typically black or tortoiseshell with no logo).
