One of the Very Last Original "Stop-Tail" ES-345s.

1964 Gibson ES-345TD.

One of the very last "stop-tail" ES-345s! This superb guitar weighs just 8.80 lbs. Laminated maple body, one-piece mahogany neck with a lovely medium-to-thick profile. Rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and pearl split-parallelogram position markers. Two patent-number humbuckers with outputs of 7.12k and 7.16k. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic retainer bridge and separate stud tailpiece. All hardware gold-plated. A near mint (9.25) example. Housed in its original Gibson black hardshell case. "The ES-345 was Gibson's first stereo guitar. It had a circuit that, when connected to a suitable 'Y'-cable, would split the pickups to two individual amplifiers, creating a wide if not strictly stereo spread. It also had a Varitone six-way tone selector." (Tony Bacon, The History of the American Guitar from 1833 to the Present Day).
