One of The Very First Fender Jaguars… With a 'Slab' Rosewood Fretboard.

1962 Fender Jaguar.

This exceptionally fine solid alder body guitar weighs 8.80 lbs. Maple neck with a comfortable nut width of 1 5/8 inches and a medium neck profile. Slab rosewood fretboard with clay dot position markers. Two white plastic-covered staggered-pole pickups with very hot outputs of 6.24k and 6.61k. Jazzmaster combined bridge and mute and floating tremolo. Original Fender tan Tolex hardshell case with brown leather ends and dark orange plush lining (9.25). Complete with original leather strap, hang-tags and more. One of the very earliest Fender Jaguars. The neck is dated "1 APR 62B." The model was introduced in May 1962 and by August of that year the 'slab' fretboard had been replaced by the 'less expensive' and easier to produce veneer fretboard.
